My name is Caterina, and If we were meeting at an event and not on an Internet page, most probably this is how I would look like:
When asked about my language development during childhood, my father used to answer:
She started talking when she was thirteen months old. And she hasn’t stopped yet.
Even if I was a massive talker, for most of my life I completely ignored the art of public speaking. Then, quite by accident, in 2015 I joined Toastmasters.
The number of the conferences I attend, the books I read, the speeches I watch, analyze, write, deliver, discuss, re-write and evaluate has been growing ever since. Each of them generates wordy notes, random scribbles and long conversations with other public speaking enthusiasts.
As I don’t plan to stop talking anytime soon, I have decided to try and do it better. My Speaking Lab is an attempt to put some order into the chaos, keep track of what I learn about public speaking, and share examples, experiences and experiments.
